Most Bitcoin addresses (P2PKH, P2WPKH) commit to a hash of the public key, so the key itself is not on-chain until the address spends. From that moment it is public forever, which is why any address that has spent and still holds coins is fully exposed. Taproot (P2TR) outputs contain the tweaked public key directly, so they are exposed from the moment they are funded, and early P2PK outputs, including Satoshi-era coins, have carried raw public keys since 2009.
An unspent hash address stays safe until its first spend. At that point a quantum attacker sees the public key in the mempool and has roughly one block interval to derive the private key and broadcast a competing spend. Bitcoin has no deployed post-quantum signature scheme; proposals such as BIP-360 remain drafts.
