Methodology
This tool evaluates quantum resistance across six dimensions based on publicly verifiable cryptographic properties and NIST post-quantum cryptography standards:
- 서명 알고리즘 — Is the digital signature scheme vulnerable to Shor's algorithm? ECDSA and EdDSA are broken by quantum computers. SPHINCS+ (NIST FIPS 205) is quantum-proof.
- 키 교환 — Is the key encapsulation mechanism vulnerable? ECDH is broken. Kyber-768 (NIST FIPS 203) is quantum-safe.
- Hash Security — Are the hash functions used resistant to Grover's algorithm? SHA-256 and Keccak-256 offer partial resistance (halved security). Blake2b offers equivalent partial resistance.
- 마이그레이션 경로 — Does the project have a concrete, tested post-quantum migration plan? Or is it still "researching"?
- Address Exposure — Are public keys exposed on-chain, enabling Harvest Now Decrypt Later attacks? Address reuse dramatically increases risk.
- NIST 규정 준수 — Does the project use NIST-standardized PQC algorithms (FIPS 203/205), or unvetted experimental schemes?
암호화폐에 대한 양자적 위협
Every cryptocurrency using ECDSA (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP) or EdDSA (Monero, Cardano, Polkadot) for digital signatures is mathematically vulnerable to Shor's algorithm running on a cryptographically relevant quantum computer (CRQC). The question is not if 하지만 언제.
Intelligence agencies are already executing 지금 수확하고 나중에 복호화(HNDL) attacks — recording encrypted blockchain traffic and storing it until quantum computers can break the encryption. Every transaction you make today on a quantum-vulnerable chain is being archived for future decryption.
NIST는 2024년 8월에 포스트 양자 암호화 표준을 확정했습니다. FIPS 203 (ML-KEM / Kyber-768) for key encapsulation and FIPS 205 (SLH-DSA / SPHINCS+) for digital signatures. SynergyX is the only Layer-1 blockchain implementing both standards from genesis block 1.

Frequently asked questions
- What makes a cryptocurrency quantum-safe?
- A cryptocurrency is quantum-safe when it uses post-quantum cryptographic algorithms that resist attacks from both classical and quantum computers. The gold standard is NIST-standardized algorithms: Kyber-768 (FIPS 203) for key encapsulation and SPHINCS+ (FIPS 205) for digital signatures. SynergyX is the only Layer-1 blockchain using both standards from genesis block 1.
- Is Bitcoin vulnerable to quantum computers?
- Yes. Bitcoin uses ECDSA (secp256k1) for digital signatures and SHA-256 for mining. Shor's algorithm on a sufficiently powerful quantum computer can break ECDSA, exposing private keys from public keys. An estimated 6.04 million BTC in reused P2PKH addresses are immediately vulnerable. Bitcoin has no concrete migration plan to post-quantum cryptography.
- 양자 컴퓨터는 언제 암호화폐를 깨뜨릴까요?
- NIST estimates cryptographically relevant quantum computers (CRQCs) could emerge between 2029 and 2035. Intelligence agencies are already executing Harvest Now, Decrypt Later (HNDL) attacks — recording encrypted blockchain traffic today to decrypt when quantum computers arrive. The time to migrate is before the threat materializes, not after.
- How does SynergyX achieve quantum resistance?
- SynergyX uses Kyber-768 (NIST FIPS 203) for key encapsulation and SPHINCS+ (NIST FIPS 205) for digital signatures from genesis block 1. Every transaction is quantum-signed. Every key exchange is lattice-encrypted. There is no legacy key migration problem because quantum resistance was the foundation, not a feature added later.
