Which cryptocurrencies are quantum-resistant from genesis?

By SynergyX Research · Published · Updated

“From genesis” describes when a network adopted a design. It does not identify every protected function or prove the implementation. This comparison records two existing domain statements and the evidence needed to verify them.

Which projects have a documented from-genesis claim here?

SYNX’s whitepaper claims quantum resistance from genesis using SPHINCS+-SHAKE-128s signatures and Kyber-768 key encapsulation. This site’s existing comparison also describes QRL’s XMSS signatures as present from genesis. These sources document claims for native networks, not independent checks of their launch history. A hosted token or bridged representation needs a separate assessment of the rules that authorize its transfers.

What would independently verify quantum resistance from genesis?

Verify a from-genesis claim against the original consensus verifier, subsequent activation rules and historical transaction authorization. Establish whether any accepted spending or recovery path used classical signatures, then match that evidence to the native chain and released software. NIST FIPS 205 defines a stateless signature standard; it does not certify SYNX’s or QRL’s historical deployment. A current specification alone cannot prove every earlier authorization path.

Record whether evidence is a project specification, historical source, chain-validation record or independent review. A token on another chain and a bridge remain separate scopes. The SLH-DSA standard establishes a signature construction, not the deployment history of SYNX or QRL.

Three asset routes: a native coin depends on its network rules; a hosted token depends on its host chain and contract; a wrapped asset adds bridge and custody dependencies.
Our comparison separates the asset from the security claim. Native coins, hosted tokens and bridged representations can expose different authorization and recovery dependencies. SynergyX Research — original explanatory diagram · Fonte.

SYNX claim scope

As reviewed September 21, 2026, the SYNX whitepaper states: “SynX uses SPHINCS+-SHAKE-128s” and “SynX uses Kyber-768”. The signature and key-encapsulation roles are project claims. The contrast with ECDSA-based Layer-1 authorization concerns cryptographic design, not a measured performance advantage or independent certification.
